PATH 1 Startup / Self-Employed LTD + I as First Client

Item Detail
Route Innovator Founder or Self-Employed
Plan YOU starts your own LTD --- product or consultancy
My Role YOUR first client or collaborator
I Provide Endorsement letter + small monthly contract
Legal Status Self-employed visa or Innovator route
Pros Full control and freedom
Risk Business plan must be viable, startup costs needed - 41700pa in case of strictly and only own business. Please read forward
  • Registered office Cannot be a PO box — use virtual office or verified address in case of virtual office i use: hoxtonmix but it is difficult to get good british business account.
  • Register with Companies House:
  • UK Business Bank Account - Lloyds or so, having british bank is the best option but YOU have to have some real UK address same like company address. Again i can help. You can open this account as well without UK address that is not virtual address: tide
  • Business Activity - IT consulting, software design, freelance testing, or project management services. For example if YOU agree I need mobile app developer, front end developer and designer help/support. Important for me is that i have no enough time to make test so big issue for me. Second YOU can do jobs/tasks for me but because i think to give YOU simultaneously more paths tasks that will be valid in Global Talent Visa but this later on.
  • Company Director - YOU can be the sole director and 100% shareholder

2. VISA ROUTES FOR SELF-EMPLOYED/DIRECTOR PATHS

Option A – Innovator Founder Visa THIS is what I think is the best for YOU ANGEL

If YOU start this way YOU dont need to pay YOURSELF 41700 pounds.

Important in this path:

Right Details
Stay in the UK Initially 3 years, renewable or leading to permanent settlement (ILR).
Work rights YOU can run YOUR own company, be a director, or work in it as an employee.
Bring dependents YOU can bring YOUR partner and if YOU have children (under 18) under YOUR visa.
No salary requirement YOU do not need to pay YOURSELF £41,700/year. Only needs to build a viable business.
Visa type It's a full visa with legal stay, NHS access, and permission to work.
Switch allowed If YOU are already in the UK on a valid visa, YOU can switch to this visa from inside the UK.

Important

  • The visa requires endorsement from an approved UK body confirming YOUR business is innovative, viable, and scalable and if YOU allow me I can try my best.
  • YOU must remain active in the business and meet progress milestones (like hiring or investment) for future renewal or settlement.
  • After 3 years, YOU can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) if progress conditions are met.

Best route if YOU want full independence, long-term UK stay, and potential path to ILR (settlement) in 3 years.

What Is It?

The Innovator Founder Visa is for entrepreneurs starting a new business in the UK that is:

  • Innovative (not a copy of existing market products)
  • Viable (real potential for growth and profitability)
  • Scalable (can grow and create jobs in the UK)

Unlike the old Innovator Visa, this one:

  • No longer requires £50,000 investment
  • Allows solo founders
  • Provides 3-year visa → eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 3 years

Eligibility Checklist

Requirement Detail
Age 18+ years old
English Minimum B2 level (e.g. IELTS 5.5 in each section or equivalent)
Endorsement From an approved UK endorsing body (more below)
Business Must be new, innovative, viable, scalable
Maintenance Funds At least £1,270 (I think it changed lastly) in bank account for 28 days (unless already in UK > 12 months)

Steps to implement this path:

Step 1: Develop Business Plan

  • Me (Maciej) can help YOU write a lean startup-style plan for:
    • A SaaS tool
    • A UX/UI design platform
    • AI-powered app builder tools (realistic, since you've already built one)

Step 2: Apply for Endorsement

  • Submit YOUR pitch deck + business plan to one of the official endorsing bodies
  • Top examples:
  • They assess: Innovation, Viability, Scalability
  • If approved, they give YOU an endorsement letter for visa application

Step 3: Apply for Visa

  • File Innovator Founder Visa online:\ Apply here
  • Required docs:
    • Endorsement letter I hope OBU will do it.
    • Passport & ID
    • Business plan (if requested) I hope YOU will use my app.
    • Proof of English
    • Proof of funds (unless exempt) - min £1,270 on YOUR private account.

Step 4: Arrive in UK / Remain in UK

  • If YOU are already in the UK (on valid visa), YOU can switch from inside. If YOUR visa is still valid (Graduate Route, Tier 2, etc.): YOU CAN apply from inside the UK — but must act before it expires.
  • Otherwise, visa issued for 3 years → enter UK, start working immediately.

Step 5: Ongoing Check-ins

  • Every 6 months, the endorsing body checks if:

    • YOU are actually working on the business
    • It shows progress (MVP, users, growth) - I think I will help with it for YOU and myself in my university.
    • YOU are still living in the UK

Fees & Costs

Item Cost
Visa fee £1,590 (rising from £1,486)
Endorsement fee ~£1,000--£1,500 (depends on provider)
Contact‑point meetings £500 per meeting (typically two: at 12 & 24 months)
NHS surcharge £1,035 per year (3 years = £3,105)
Total (est.) ~£6,195–£6,695*

I can optionally help cover part of these costs as YOUR first client or partner.

Settlement: ILR after 3 years

  • After 3 years, you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) if:
    • YOU have been living and working on the business full-time
    • YOU meet revenue, investment, or innovation milestones (varies) on it we can work together.
    • YOU passe the Life in the UK Test - done

Then British Citizenship after 1 more year (ILR + 1 year)

How I Can Help YOU (as Maciej)

  • Co-create YOUR business idea or MVP (I already have working SaaS code and based on it many more)
  • Feature YOU as a co-founder or product designer on my app
  • Add YOU to Figma designs, GitHub commits, Trello/Jira boards - done
  • Help YOU draft the pitch deck and plan YOU can use my/our i hope in future app Start up builder
  • Offer a letter of support as first client/collaborator

Option B -- Skilled Worker Visa

Extremly didficult if YOU dont have someone that will support YOU at the begun in money. There are many options to get grants from government, but for startup where director is main stakeholder really difcult.

(Employed by YOUR Own UK Company)

Legally secure route to stay in the UK with work rights --- but only works if structured correctly. Sponsorship fraud will result in bans and visa refusals.

Summary of Key Requirements

Requirement Detail
Sponsor Licence YOUR company must first apply and be approved as a UK Skilled Worker Sponsor by the Home Office
Job Role Must be on the approved SOC code list (e.g., 2136 Web Designer, 2139 QA Tester, 2137 Software Developer)
Salary Minimum £41,700/year, 35 hours/week full-time (as of 2025)
Genuine Employment YOU must be doing real work with real outputs --- Home Office checks for fake employment
Ownership Conflict Harder if you are the only director/owner --- may be rejected unless structured right
Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) Required after licence approval --- must include job title, SOC code, salary, duties

Step-by-Step Setup for This Path

Step 1: Register a UK Limited Company (if not done yet)

  • Use Companies House to form a company
  • Add at least 2 directors or 1 director + 1 employee for authenticity - and if YOU trust me I can voluntary director.
  • Appoint a non-family co-director (me, Maciej, can be ideal)
  • Register for PAYE (Pay As You Earn) with HMRC

Step 2: Apply for a Sponsor Licence

  • Done via UKVI: Apply here
  • Cost: £574 (small company) or £1,579 (medium/large)
  • Processing time: 2--3 months (can pay £500 for 10-working-day priority)
  • Required documents:
    • Certificate of incorporation
    • Proof of PAYE registration
    • Lease or virtual office agreement Hoxton mix
    • Director identity (passport/BRP)
    • Evidence of HR systems

Step 3: Assign a Defined Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)

  • Once approved as a sponsor, assign a Defined CoS for external applicants
  • Fill in:
    • SOC code (e.g., 2137 -- Software Developer)
    • Job title: Product Designer, QA Tester, React Developer, etc.
    • Salary: £41,700+ per year
    • Work address: UK office address (can be virtual) from above.

Step 4: YOU Applie for Skilled Worker Visa

  • Apply here

  • Documents:

    • CoS number
    • Passport
    • Proof of English (IELTS or equivalent)
    • Maintenance funds: £1490 i think in bank account for 28 days (or company certifies support)

Can apply from India or UK only if your current visa is still valid

Step 5: Begin Employment

  • YOU must work full-time at the sponsoring company
  • The company must:
    • Report changes (salary, duties, absence) to Home Office
    • Run payroll via HMRC - and next idea for us to work on!!!
    • Keep records (contracts, attendance, output)

Compliance Warning: Home Office Will Check for...

Check What They Want to See
Real Job Actual work done (code, designs, tasks) --- not ghost employment
Role Separation YOU must be employed, not acting purely as owner/director
Company Oversight Ideally another person (me/ someone YOU trust) should assign the CoS and manage HR functions
Physical Address Registered office with traceable address (not just PO box Hoxtonn mix is enough)
Payroll Payslips, taxes, and pension setup via HMRC again work for us as potential product

Structure Company as:

  • Me or person YOU trust as co-director + YOU as hired employee\ → Me or person YOU trust assign CoS and sign contract as company rep

YOUR Job Role Example:

  • Product Designer on my Startup App Builder
  • SOC Code: 2136
  • Full-time contract: £417000/year
  • Real deliverables: Figma designs, usability reports, end-to-end QA testing

Support Docs I Can Prepare:

  • Employment contract (signed by me)
  • Project briefs with YOUR name
  • Screenshots of work: design tools, GitHub commits, team planning docs
  • Screenshot of payroll and payslip (post-approval)

Long-Term Outcome

Years Outcome
Year 0 Gets Skilled Worker Visa (up to 5 years)
Year 1 Working full-time in your company
Year 3--5 Can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) if all conditions met
Year 6 Can apply for British citizenship (optional)

Me + YOUR Plan (If I Help as Co-Director):

  • I register your company and become co-director
  • I apply for sponsor licence in YOUR company
  • Assign CoS for you
  • Hire you as UX designer or similar

- Build real projects together → qualify for ILR later

I finish later when i will have some more time.

PATH 3 Skilled Worker Visa via Dhruvi Infinity Inspiration LTD

Same problem, money. For any employer is no point to employ on sponsor visa because it is too costly. They can easily employ local people with rights to work in UK. Point is i didnt need to worry about this till now. I wanted connect my hobby, my university and my old skills to talk with people and motivate but not any more (I clearly know that people dosent want me, my adviceses and treat me as sanger) and mix with psychology to help businesses that just start or grow up with essential tools they need. Now i am sure that if i say that 2 + 2 is 4 people hear that i am saying that 2 + 2 is 3 so i dont care to influent people. All of theme are more clever that i am. In some point if i find someonee to talk with humans i can earn cash to cover YOUR wages but it will happen not earlier than next year.
